Mária Almenara has been one of Peru's most established
Bakery and Catering businesses for years, and after lots of success, it felt like time for a breath of fresh air. We collaborated together to create a whole new range of brand applications including logotype, graphic identity and applications in packaging, delivery vans, and staff uniforms among others.
Conceptually, we went back to the origin of the Maria Almenara recipes - the owner's grandmother's cooking books, and her nostalgic childhood memories of learning some of the most classic preparations of typical American cuisine. Including links to themes like the classic cook Julia Child, lots of old and dusty recipe books, traditional prints found in tablecloths, and the aprons and textiles that could be found in the kitchens of the late 50s and 60s.
A set of prints, colours and backgrounds that play around the different surfaces of the brand proved to be a solution that engages customers, and keeps the brand's presence fresh and alive.
The color is conceived with creamy tones and sweet, almost tactile hues of mint, cherry and vanilla that interplay with proportions and sizes of all sorts.
